Following a review of the Personal and Social Effectiveness qualifications, these qualifications will not be extended beyond their current final learner registration and final certification dates.

So that the interests of learners working towards these qualifications can be protected, and in compliance with its Regulators’ Conditions of Recognition, ASDAN will carefully manage the expiry of these qualifications. ASDAN will communicate with centres delivering these qualifications during the expiry period, so that any requirements are made clear and to provide details of suitable alternative qualifications.
ASDAN is fully committed to supporting the centres delivering these qualifications whilst they are still available and plans to do this by providing termly support meetings. In addition, your local Relationship Manager can provide support either over the phone or via a scheduled Teams meeting throughout the academic year. ASDAN’s Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) and Award of Personal Effectiveness (AoPE) qualifications remain available to centres. ASDAN will review its CoPE and AoPE qualifications before September 2025, ensuring they continue to meet the centres’ and learners’ needs.
All centres will have the opportunity to contribute to this review, and all changes will be communicated prior to implementation.
