ASDAN Themed Support Meetings inspire best practice and certificate CPD

We hope you've had a positive start to the year. In 2023 ASDAN is committed to rebooting the ‘N’ of ASDAN – network. We’re passionate about bringing community back to the heart of what we offer.

We’ll be working alongside our members to better our services, to share expertise, develop best practice and co-create the next evolution of ASDAN’s courses to best support young people in greatest need in the UK.

Sharing best practice in education

In autumn 2022, we introduced online Themed Support Meetings, which provide free CPD opportunities for UK members registered to deliver ASDAN qualifications.

These meetings are available free of charge and designed to help members enhance their practice. Attendees can request a certificate reflecting the new skills and knowledge acquired.

Mastering internal quality assurance processes

This year’s meetings will focus on establishing quality assurance processes, covering assessment planning, internal moderation and internal standardisation.

All ASDAN-registered members must establish internal quality assurance processes relating to the assessment of qualifications.

This session will cover assessment planning, internal moderation and internal standardisation. ASDAN’s requirements will be outlined as our experts work through our published guidance in detail. Examples of how to use the template ASDAN materials are provided.

Since our first online Themed Support Meeting in October, we’ve received extremely positive feedback. One delegate stated:
