It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of ASDAN’s founding directors, Professor Richard Pring.
Richard was Director of the Department of Education at Oxford from 1989 to 2003, during which time he helped form ASDAN’s inaugural Board alongside David Brockington, Brian Fletcher, Christine and Brian Hobbs, Anita Higham, and Baroness Corston. Their collective vision recognised that many learners needed an alternative approach to succeed in their education.
As ASDAN continues to evolve, we remain committed to the core principles established by our founders: making our courses accessible, flexible, engaging, and relevant to all the learners who, as Richard and his colleagues knew, would benefit from the ASDAN way.
